Nekeith is an American transgender hip hop recording artist, songwriter, dancer and actress. While being raised in High Point, NC she began her career at the age of 15. She released her first mixtape ‘Unbelievable’ in 2012 under the stage name of Newprettyboii and performed in multiple venues to broaden her artistry. Nekeith graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with honors and is the founder of D.O.P.E (Dreams of pursuing entertainment) an organization at UNC Charlotte. On March 8, 2016 Nekeith released his debut single and music video titled ‘Bank’ and released her “Brutally Honest Mixtape” in December 2016. Nekeith opened for singer K. Michelle and highlighted his LGBT Rap at the 6th Annual Hip Hop Festival in Atlanta Georgia. In the Fall of 2017 Nekeith Released his second mixtape titled “No Homophobia” that featured a remix of the smash hit “Rack It Up” by Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj. The music video for the remix to “Rack It Up” went viral gaining over 100k views and brutally provoking conversations about the LGBTQ community in Hip Hop. In 2018 Nekeith released her first EP album titled New Era and performed on BET Freestyle Friday and was crowned as one of the top 10 finalists. On June 25th, 2019 Nekeith released her album titled “Androgynous Queen”. The upcoming star caught the attention of Lee Daniels the creator of Fox’s Empire and film Precious and was chosen to be part of the Lee Daniels Entertainment the Creative Workshop. In 2019 Nekeith released a Hip Hop anthem titled “Bad Bitch Walking” which gained popularity on social media and numerous blogs such as The Neighborhood Talk. She continued to release music during the pandemic and debuted an EP titled “Pillow Talk” in 2020. Recently Nekeith has released her album GLOW and toured her latest album across America. With over 250k Views and stream downloads, Nekeith is just getting started on her legacy!
